(CLIFTON COUNTY COUNCIL, pIBLIO NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in the Council by the Counties Act 190S and Eating Act 1(108, it is the intention of the Clifton Comity Council at its next meeting to be held on FRIDAY, August 1, 1919, to make a levy under Section 117 of the Counties Act 1908 and in accordance with Section 48 of the Rating Act 1908, a General Rate of twopence and one farthing (2}d) in the £ on the capital value of all rateable properties within each of the rid' Jigs of the County of Clifton, namely, the Mokau, Urenui, Tikorangi, Waihi and Ngi f imaru Ridings, such General Rate io be, for the year ending March 31, 1920, and to be payable in one instalment on the 31st day of August, 1919, at the office of the Clifton Comty Council, West Quay, Waitara,/ where the rate boat is open for inspection during office hours. HEAVY TRAFFIC ON COUNTY ROADS VOTICE is hereby given that in consideration of the weak state of the roada, the Counpil intends to strictly enfores tha by-law prohibiting "heavy traffic" on the County roads. "Heavy traffic" means the carriage of more than thirty hundredweight (one and a half tons), including the weight of the vehicle (this applies to motor lorries as well as other vehicles) on each pair of wheels.
