DOMINION WINTER SHOW.
At the monthly meeting on Tuesday evening it was reported by the secretary that all the work in connection with clearing up the Bhow buildings had been completed, and prize moneys had been paid. The record of receipts showed that, despite the great handicap imposed by the weather and the lack of railway facilities, the returns were most satisfactory. The tea rooms, too, showed very good results. It was resolved to write expressing appreciation of the assistance received from the Gas Company and the Electric LightMJompany, both of which companies were put to considerable trouble and difficulty in supplying light under the difficult circumstances ruling. Appreciation, was also expressed of the generous assistance given by the Hawera Star andvthe Daily News, previous to and during the show. The secretary reported also that the demand for space had incretsed, and several leading exhibitors had booked for i.ext year.
The vacancy on the directorate was filled by the appointment of Mr. B. L. Joll."
It was decided that a meeting be arranged between a sub-committee of the Bhow and the Poultry Association in connection with, the working of the poultry show.—Star. '
