The Employers' Federation carried a motion protesting against the inaction of the Federal Government in failing to deal with the forces of anarchy and. revolution, and urging the Government to use all lawful to suppress anarchy. Mr. Thomas Walsh, secretary of the Seamen's Union, has been served with a summons on behalf of the Commonwealth Government charging him witli encouraging a strike, contrary to the Arbitration Act. SUPPORT FOR THE SEAMEN. Received July 15, 10 i 5 p.m. Sydney, July 15. A meeting of union secretaries at the Trades Hall pledged themselves to support the seamen, and unfed, tho coal transport and railway federations to send delegates to Melbourne to endeavor to settle the dispute. GENERAL STRIKE OPPOSED. Received July 15, 1015 p.m. j Melbourne, July 15. ' It is definitely stated the vratervidera' federation opposed embroiling members in a general strike. : During a mass meeting of unemployed at Parliament House, stones were thrown. The police charged with batons and dispersed the crowd. There was a number of minor casualties.
