Admiral von Scheer, interviewed regarding Lord Jellicoe'B book, claimed that the Germans gained the victory at Jutland, which the Germans intended should be decisive. Lord Jellicoe made a mistake by acting strategically when «he should have acted tactically. He should have attacked determinedly when he passed the head of the German line within range, his. position then being advantageous, instead of getting further away and hoping for a more favorable position later. Admiral von Scheer admits that he intended to give battle at the end of October, 1918, but found ,the crews un-reliable.—-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
