AIRSHIPS RETURN.
PASSES OVER BELFAST. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Washington, July 11. R34 is approaching the Azores. [The Azores are about 2100 miles from New York and 1200 miles from Newfoundland.] Received July 13, 11.45 p.m. London. July 13. The airship R34 was sighted off the Irish Coast. Owing to the wind other dirigibles were unable to proceed to welcome the returning voyager. A later message states the R34 passed over Belfast.—Aus.-N.Z. Cabin Assn. Received July 13, 5 5 p.m. London, July 11. The engine of the R34 has broken down,, and she will probably abandon her Visit to London.—Aua.-N.Z. Cable Assn. NEARING DESTINATION. A ROUSING WELCOME ARRANGED. Received July 14, 1.30 a.m. i London, July 13. The concluding stages of R34's journey are being directed from the Air Ministry, which is in constant wireless communication with the airship. After passing Clifden at 9.20 at night, it passed Derby at 4.20 a.m. (summer time), heading for Fulham, where a rousing welcome awaits the crew on landing, for which conditibns are favorable.—Aus. and N.Z.
