MEASURING THE EARTH.
CONFERENCE OK ASTRONOMERS. Received July 11, 9.1S p.m.. Adelaide, Last Night. A conference of astronomers will ahorUy meet in connection with the measurement of the longitudinal distance between Greenwich and Sydney by mean, of radio-telegraphic longitudinal signals in co-operation with the Eneliah Astronomer Royal. This is the first time that the world will ba measured both ways.
