STRANDED NEW ZEALANDERS.
RETURNING BY THE MANUKA. iiy Telegraph.—Pross Association. Dunediu, July 9. Latest advice received by the Union Company state* that the Manuka left Margaret Street wharf, Sydney, at 2 p.m. yesterday with 310 passengers, but seven firemen were not on board at the time of sailing and the vessel steamed to the anchorage in Watson's Bay. Tho Manuka left Auckland two weeks ago with a full New Zealand crew on New Zealand articles. It is hoped the missing firemen will be available and that the ship will sail for Wellington to-day. A cablegram reports that the Manuka sailed at 7 a.m. Wellington, July 9. Sir James Allen received advice today that the Manuka sailed from Sydney with some 280 stranded New Zealanders. These were the most necessitous cases. FURTHER ACCOMMODATION. Received July 9, 9.25 p.m. Sydney, July 9. Tho steamer, Prinzessin, sailing at the end of the week, will be able to accommodate 270 stranded New Zealanders.
