A meeting of railwaymen at Invercargill passed a resolution demanding that Monday, July 21, be a holiday for all railwaymen,' TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. In regard to travelling facilities in connection with peace celebrations, the Town Clerk of New Plymouth has received the following telegram from the Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. G. W. Russell): Soldiers will be carried free on trains on the 19th and Blst. Children will be carried free on Monday only, but will only be conveyed to the town nearest to their place of residence in which celebrations will be held. No special trains can be run, and only accommodation available in the ordinary trains can be used. It is therefore recommended that fa every possible case celebrations shall be local.
