RUAHINE DUE AT WEIZINQTON.

The Defence Department has been advised that two more transports have left England for New Zealand—the Somerset on July 2, with .967 troops, due at Lyttelton about August 12, and the Mamari, with 105!) troops, due at 'Auckland about August 13. This brings the total of troops nn the watf* to 9558 in eleven transports, which also carry 605 wntiipn and 134 children.

The transport Ruahine is expected here to-night and berths at 7 a.m. tomorrow if a clean ship. ARRIVAL OF RUAHINE, Wellington, July 7. The .Ruahina with returning troops arrived at 7.20 p.m., and will berth at 7 a.m. to-morrow. The Ruahine. has been declared a clean ship. It is understood there were five deaths during the voyage, mostly infantry, but no names are available. The vessel had a pasasge, and the soldiers were given a good time coming through the Panama Canal. The troops for the Auckland district leave by special train from Thorndnn at, 12.8S to-morrow; the Wairarapa men will leave Lambton at 8,5 a.m.; those fry Manawatu, Taranaki and Hawke's Bay will leave Thorndon at 8.4 a.m.; southern men leave by the Mararoa tomorrow night, and those for Marlborough, Nelson and districts north of Westport by the Nikau at 5 p.m.
