Butchers were very anxious to get supplies. In View of the uncertainty of the railway arrangements, and the demand for prime heavy sheep was keen, prices advancing about Ds. Unfinished and light aid not participate to. the same extent as freezing buyers operated 'at good limits. Prime aethers, 53s 3d to 60s 3d ; medium, 40S to 48a;. light and unfinished, 25s'to ;'_s; prime ewes, 45s to 535; medium, 84s to Od; light and inferior, 22s to 28s 6d. There was a medium yarding of lambs, C9O being penned. The Quality was fair, feezing buyers operated keenly for suitable lines, and a very satisfactory sale resulted. Prime, 32a-tD,3Bs 3d; good, 28s to 30s Od; others, 24s to 26s 6d. A good yarding of pigs sold under keen, cotttmutioQ m stimiuiij ami to nipt.
