As the result of the seamen's strike the Coal Board lias imposed further drastic restrictions on the use of gas and electricity owing to the serious shortage of coal. ANOTHER CONFERENCE SUMMONED. Mr. Watt discussed the shipping strike with representatives of the Seamen's Union, and subsequently announced that it had been decided to summon another compulsory conference of steamship own*rs and seamen's representatives.—Aus.N.Z.
