'ALMA RUBENS IN "THE ANSWER," A good lesson to every one with leanings towards socialism is given in "The Answer," starring .Alma Rubens, and screening at Everybody's tonight. The story is based on the effect wealth has on the social creeds of a man and a girl to whom has been left the legacy of hating the rich, from an agitator father. The man proves strong enough to withstand all the temptationn wealth usually brings, when he suddenly has some millions left him, but the girl proves u weaker calibre, for while mere man carries on the work of socialism with his money to aid, the girl loses her head and develops into a limiry-loving, pleasure seeking society butterfly. Alma Rubens is in a role particularly suited to her wistful enchanting beauty, and her gowns are - a reflection of the latest whims of fashion. As a friend to "down and outers" she lives up. to her ideals. "The House of Hate," episode 9, also shows on this programme.

THE PEOPLE'S. LAST.NIGHT OP ENID BENNETT. Tho very fine Thos. H. Inoe production, "A Desert Wooing," starring the bright and versatile Enid Bennett, screens finally to-night at the People's. It is an engrossing story of how a butterfly wife suddenly had to choose between the blandishment of a cad and the despotic love of a husband. The supporting programme includes "The Railroad Raiders," No. 4, gazette and comedy- ' MAY ALLISON TO-MORROW. The charming artiste, May Allison, appears to-morrow in "The Return of Mary," her latest Metro success.
