AMAZING TURKISH NOTE, i
STARTLING PROPOSALS. Received July 1, 8.5 p.in, PWis, June 25. The Council of Tout signod an agreensent to pay Belgium a priority indemnity of one hundred millions sterling from the first reparation received from Germany. The Turks have handed a note to .the Council of Ten. It is an amazing document, containing the startling statement that Turkey insists on complete unity and independence as before the War. The note states that Turkey ia to admit the independence of Armenia, but proposes only partial independence for Palestine under a Turkish Governor.—Am. N.Z. Cable Assoc. EX-KAISER'S EXTRADITION. NO NEGOTIATIONS WITH HOLLAND, Received July 1, 9.5 p.m. London, June 30. Mr. Cecil Hftrmsworth, Unler-Seeretary for Foreign Affairs, stated there had i been no negotiations hitherto for tht ex-Kaiser's extradition. The' Allies had urged Holland not tj allow the Kaiief to escape. Mr. Horatio Bottomiey reminded the House that Wilhelm had threatened suicide, and asked if the Government would do their best to expedite this inexpensive solution. (Laughter.)— Am. NX Cable Assoc. >
1 GERMAN ACCOUNTS. Copenhagen, June 30. Germans newspapers, in accordance with an agreement, publish remarkably brief accounts of the Versailles ceremony, also brief editorials. Herr Harden, in an article, asks the Government to cease chattering about Germany's honor and refute, if it can, the Allies' statements concerning Germany's guilt.-7Aus.-NiJ. Cable Assn.
