These mills nave now had to close again, the men, at the instance of the union, having downed tools and refusing to work for less than the minimum of 14s per day insisted on by the union.

The shearers' representatives have acecpted the rate for shearers, but objected to the rates for the other workers and to the non alteration of the condition. The offer as to be submitted to the unions.
