The wind and rain hampered the loading of frozen meat by the Whakatane on Wednesday afternoon, and yesterday morning a start was not made with the work until about 10 o'clock, consequently operations will probably extend over to-day.
MOVEMENTS OF RARAWA. The Barawa berthed shortly before 7 o'clock yesterday morning, having made good time against the gale, the full force of which was experienced after midnight. She left again at 8.30 to return to Onebunga, and is due back here on Saturday morning at the usual hour. THE CORINNA. Owing to the bad weather conditions prevailing, the Corinna was forced to put back to New Plymouth. She Is at present anchored in the stream. THE MAKURA SAILING. Dunedln, June 26. The latest advice received from the Union Company states that the Makura, which has been held up at Vancouver since June 3 owing to labor strikes, was expected to sail on June 20 via ports.
