Singapore reports that the cruiser Sydney landed bluejackets to quell a riot in which three Chinese and one Japanese were killed.—United Service. Received June 25, 8 p.m. Singapore, June 23. Strong Chinese riots against the Japanese are in progress, many shops having been wrecked. Naval and military forces were called out. Three of the rioters were tilled and many injured, including the inspector-general of police. Parties of marines were landed and-restored, order.—ißeuter.
