BLACK SEA MUTINIES.

A DRAMATIC INCIDENT. By Telegraph.—-Press Assn.—Copyright.

Received June 25, 8.30 p.m.

Paris, June 14. During the Chamber of Deputies' discussion upon the Black Sea fleet mutinies Admiral Leygues, Minister for Marine, stated that after the red flag had been hoisted attempts were made to take command of the ships, without success. The officers eventually persuaded the men to remove the flags. There was a dramatic incident aboard the Jean Bart. When Captain Ducoedio, who had broken both arms, tried to lower the red flag the men stopped him. 'Boys," he said, "you must shoot me in order to prevent me lowering this flag." The men later tore the flags to shreds and brought them to the captain. Admiral Leygues admitted that the men had been badly fed and had not seen home for four years. He claimed the trouble was due to Bolshevik propaganda,—United Service.
