By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The barometer rose In the south during Tuesday night, but a disturbance has since developed In tbe far north. High southerly winds, land cold, boisterous conditions, have been experienced, with rain generally, and snow in the South Island. Present Indications are for south to southeast winds, strong to gale, and further cold, squally weather, with heavy showers generally, and snow In the high country. The barometer Is unsteady, with a rising tendency. ———————-«
