UNAUTHORISED PASSENGERS.
A CHEAP TRIP WITH THE . "DIGGERS." By Telegrapli.—Press Association. Auckland, June 22. The arrival of the transport Waimana and the prospects of a cheap trip to the colony offered such a diversion in the routine of two American service men Stationed at Colon that they decided to relinquish their duties and join the returning troops. Tiioy successfully secreted themselves on the vessel, and it was uot until she was well clear of Panama that their identity was made known. It was then too late to return them to their duties, and they shared in the welcome home .to the Waimana complement this morning. At present fchey are being detained by the military with a view .to securing their early return to America, when they, as "returned" boys, will hardly anticipate their arrival home as the draft did this morning. During tho voyage out the "Diggers" on board showed their sympathy with their allied comrades in a practical manner by subscribing a stun of BO for them.
