CIVIL SITTING. (Before Mr J. W. Poynton, S.M.) Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following undefended csaes:—

Weston and Billing (Mr A. H. Johnstone) v. Maui Orekura, £7O 2s Id (costs £5 10s); Newton King (Mr. D. Hutchen) V. E. P. Walsh, £32 13a 6d (costs £2 19s); C. R. Jones v. F. S. Smith, £1 (costs ss). Under a judgment summons Paul Matika web ordered to pay Ernest A. Walker (Mr Billing) the sum of £44 ' 12s (costs 21s) on or before July 24, in default 40 days' imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as the debtot: paid £5 per month towards liquidating the debt. Edward G. Hook was . ordered to pay Kate Hawkes (Mr F. E. Wilson) the sum of £2 ios lOd on or before July 24, in default 3 days' imprisonment.

: The application of Mary Ellen Freeth, for possession of a dwelling house, occupied by Miss Bretmer, was: refused, and 21s costs allowed.
