NEW BY-LAW. is hereby given that at a Special Meeting .of the Council of thj County of Taranaki held on the second day of June, 1919, it was resolved (by way of Special Order) that the said Council in pursuance of tho> powers and provisions contained in "The Counties Act 1908" "The Counties Airfondment Act 1915" and of au Order-in-Council nrade by His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand on the 15tn day of November 1015 under Section B ot "The Counties Amendment Act 1915" and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 18th November 1915 at page 3825 and of all every other the Powots and provisions in thrt behalf contained or implied in any statute enabling it in that behalf, make a By-Jaw to b? called "The Taranaki County Vehicles Licensing By-law i 919" the object and purport of which By-law are as follows-.
To provide for the tensing of vehicles using any roa-1 within the County of Taranaki and to prevent unlicensed vehicles using any of the said County roads, srul to appoint the several sums to he paid to the County fund for the licensing of vehicles. The said resolution will he submitted to the ordinary meeting of tht, Council to be held at the County Office in Kobe Street in the Town of New Plymouth on MONDAY, the &eventh day of July 1919 at two o'clock in the afternoon, at which meeting the date of the coming into force of the said By-law will be fixed. A copy of the snid Speciai Order and of the proposed By-law are deposited at the office of the Council, where the same will be open for public inspection during office hours until the said confirming meeting is held.
