NEGOTIATIONS FOR CESSION DENIED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 24, 1.15 a.m. Capetown, June 18. With a view to removing the misunderstanding arising out of certain articles in the press suggesting that the cession of the Belgian Congo was contemplated, the Governor-General has authorised an official denial that any negotiation for such a purpose has been entered into or is contemplated by the Imperial Government.—Aus. and N.Z.
