DISCUSSED IN THE C.FT AMRTiTR By Telegraph.—Preaj Assn.—Copyright. Beceived June 22, 5.5 p.m. Paris, June 3. The Chamber is discussing recent happenings in the Black Sea fleet. Deputy Meuner, who went to "Odessa at the request of the Navy Committee, said it was owing to Bolshevik protection that French troops were able to leave Odessa safely, He declared that military intervention in Russia was useless, Bolshevism being settled as the result of the country's internal condition. Deputy Goude stated that French warships' officers had not been harmed. The red flag was hoisted on the mainmast of the warships, but the tricolor was left hi its usual place and work proceeded on the vessels as usual. The men's delecrates informed the admirals that they did not desire to be concerned in an unconstitutional war, preferring not to flebt the Russian revolution, especially in view of the civilians' friendliness. After the various incidents the admiral aijreed that the fleet should leave the Black Sea within a fortnight, the men not to be punished, but to be granted a two months' furlough. Deputy Goude added that the feeling in the navy was still far from good. ■ Four hundred representatives of the sailors met Admiral Lucaze at Toulon and insisted that no punishment should be inflicted on those who Tefused to fight in the Black Sea.— United Service.
