'ROTEST AGAINST CLASSIFICATION.

. Thames, June 21. A large meeting of the Thames section ot the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association last night resolved: That the Meeting deplores the fact that a serious attempt appears to have been made to classify experienced and qualified officers below the fifth class, many of the responsible positions in the sixth class not being re-graded according to the value or responsibility of the work. It was decided to support the executive in asking » P a - Vmant °f the outstanding portion m! w !v ar bonus due last year, also ihat, tailing an amendment of the existing schedule, a further bonus of IS per cent, be paid on all salaries. An opinion was expressed againef holding a conierence until the return of Sir Joseph Ward.
