MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

(Before Mr. H. 31. Cattley, J.P.) At the Magistrate's Court yesterday morning, before Mr. H. R. Cattley, J.P., Percy Ward, who had been arrested at Rahotu on a charge of cattle stealing, was remanded to appear at Stratford on June 28. Frederick Ardern, who was remanded from Wellington, appeared on two charges of failing to provide for illegitimate children, 01 whom he was alleged to be the father. Accused was remanded to appear before the magistrate this morning. Mr. H. R. Billing represented one complainant and Mr. Ronald H. Quilliam the other.
