NURSES' MEMORIAL FUND.

ANNUAL MEETING OF NEW ZEALAND BODY. Dtmedin, June 19. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Nurses' Memorial Fund the president, Dr. Ferguson, said that, with the money in hand and to come in, they were well on the way to £IO,OOO. A claim just made would absorb a considerable amount of the annual revenue, but the case was one in which help was urgently needed. Mis 3 McLean said she had received reliable information that Cabinet had authorised the placing of a sum on the Estimates to supplement by a £ for £ subsidy any grant which the fund might make. The following office-hearers were elected: President, Dr. Ferguson; vice-pre-sidents, Dr. Young (Wellington) and Mr. G. Fenwick; committee, Miss H- McLean, A. E. Pearce (Wellington), 0. Nicholson (Auckland), Mrs. Sandston Dr. Manning (Chnstehurch), Dr. Young (Invercargill), Miss Thomson, Mrs. ICidd, Messrs Begg, MacGregor, Battray, and C. R. Smith.
