The King, whilst visiting the clothing factories at Leicester, in a speech said:. "Our task in the future is to build a new order for the common life upon the foundations of the past. Preserve, strengthen, and renew those ideals of liberty for which we fought. Only by unselfish co-operation between all classes can we win victory in peace, as m war;. The Queen and I earnestly desire to. joins in this work." King George then urged the need for an improvement in education and the foundation of provincial universities, which were' of vital importance to the country's future commercial prosperity. The King added that the character of the English life was moulded in the homes of the people. "We must see," he added, "that houses are built which #ill make possible a healthy and happy fajßfly life."—United. Service^
