Klto and Falwasser scored for the winning team, and for Mldhlrst Fowler scored and converted. Mr. Nuttall refereed. TUKAPA (8) v. ELTHAM (0). Tukapa met Eltham at Eltham yesterday, and a splendid game resulted. Eltham had a very heavy vanguard, averaging thirteen stonealmost two stone heavier than the blues, Eltham played with the wind and sun In the first half, but found the Tukapa backs very nippy and sure. Play was of a very interesting nature, the spell being very evenly contested, with Tukapa slightly the better team. Halftime came with no score. In the second half Tukapa threw the ball about in fine style, and after about fifteen minutes' play Cocker raced over, and H. Oliver converted. Tukapa still pressed hard, and Hurley shortly after got over from a loose rush, Oliver failing to convert. Tukapa kept Eltham defending, except for a short period, for the rest of the game, but there was no alteration In the score. For the winners, Cocker led the forwards In great style, while lan Cameron, at half, played the finest game on the ground. Oliver and Prior were very safe. For the losers, Bunn and Carlson grafted very hard, and Moir wa» the best of the backs.
FIRST JUNIORS. WAITARA T. INGLEWOOD. The match between Waitara First Juniors and Inglewood ended In a win for Waitara by 10 points to nil—two tries and a potted goal. For the first half hour Waitara had Inglewood on the defensive, and In that time Waitara scored a try. From then on to the end of the first spell give-and-take play was the order of the day, half time being called with Inglewood over the Waitara goal line, but no score resulted. In the second half Waitara had considerably the best of the game, Sandy MoKoy potting a goal from the field for Waitara. Shortly after this McGorvey scored another try for Waitara, the shot at goal being fruitless. This was the last score, though towards the finish Inglewood made several desperate efforts to score, but the defence was too good. Inglewood backs took the ball and passed much cleaner than Waitara, and had they had a better forward team, would doubtless have told another tale. Among the Waitara forwards W. Soffe was out on his own. STRATFOBD (11) v. N.P. HIGH SCHOOL (0). Stratford met the New Plymouth High .School oh the racecourse, and after a strenuous game the visitors won, though they did not Tiave matters all their own way. Stratford were much more weighty than the school team, and this advantage they made the most of. The School played with good combination, but were not able to penetrate the Stratford defence, and the visitors succeeded in scoring three tries, on* of which was converted. When time was called the score was: Stratford, 11, School 0. Mr Johnson was referee,

Of ,the teams the visitors appeared to have the preponderance In weight and; if anything, the'advantage In combination,, .though (lie, game wild not be looked upon, as an exhibition of a good class of football. "Itwas a'.forward game throughout the ball; rarely coining out to the backs. Several times, the visitors were on : tbe point of scoring, but Star managed to preserve their defence.
