NARROW ESCAPE OF MEMBERS OF GOVERNMENT. Received June 19, 8.50 p.m. London, June 18. According to a Copenhagen message, two uniformed Spartacists overpowered the guard at a temporary military prison in Waimar and liberated sixty prisoners. The latter stormed the barracks, seized arms, and proceeded to the castle, where the German president and Ministers were staying, but the timely arrival of troops frustrated the attempt to capture the Government.—Aus.-N.Z- Cable Assn. London, June 10, Anti-Allies riots ia German towns were suppressed with machine-gun 9. Spartacists captured the castle at Weimar and attempted to arrest Herr Noske. Fighting is proceeding.—United Service. ANTI-ALLIES DEMONSTRATION. Copenhagen, June 18. Crowds at Frankfort made a demonstration outside the residence of the Allied officers, and a shot was fired. Upon this German Government troops 6red with machine-guns on the mob, which fled. OPPOSITION TO TREATY. I Weimar, June IS. The German Cabinet is known to be almost unanimously opposed to the peace terms.
