THE ANTI-JAPANESE RIOTS. Received June 20,1 a.m. By Telegraph.—Preu Asm.—Copyright. New York, June 16. The New York Times' Washington correspondent reports that the State Department advices from Peking say that Cbunchisiang, Chinese Minister to Japan, has resigned, following on agitations in Ohina over the Shantung settlement. Several Chinese officials in Peking have also resigned for the same reason. Washington, June 14. The Japanese Charge d'Affaires has issued a statement that no Japanese warships have been sent to Shanghai, as cabled yesterday.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Association.
