Mr. McCurdy, for the Ministry of Food, announces that owing to the expectation of a further rise in food prices nest winter, the Government is considering the resumption of nationa] or interAllied purchases of essetnial foodstuffs to stabilise prices and abolish speculative buyers. The rapid multiplication of trusts to maintain high prices is proceeding at an alarming rate.
