HOCKEY.
NORTH TARANAKI MEN'S CLUBS. meeting of those Interested In "the survival of hockey among men in North Tarawas held at the Soldiers' Club on Monday night. There was a good attendance, and it was reported that there would in all probabilIty he three clubs in New Plymouth and one at Inglewood, which should at least give the game a fresh start this season. A practice match has been arranged for Saturday, on the racecourse, at 2JJO p.m., and intending players are invited to be present, even though they may not have been able to be at the recent meetings held. The meeting on Monday night elected an executive, and a competition will 'bo started at an early date. As there may be a _ difficulty at present in securing enough sticks, old players who have no further use for sticks in their possession are invited to assist j the new orgunisutiou in this mattef* I KAPQNGA v.
