' * Messrs Hurley Bros.' farm, Te Ngutu, Okaiawa, on 9th inst., I conducted a dispersal sale of their herd. The cows proved an exceptionally fine lot, the satisfactory average of £lB 18s being obtained. Best cows made from £2O to £3O, others from £l4 10s to £1«, cows (in milk) £l3, dairy heifers made £lO to £l3, store cows £B.
On the 14th inst., at Matapu I conducted a clearing sale on account of Mr F. T. McCarthy, Buyers attended in good numbers, bididng proving very brisk throughout. Best cows made from £ls to £2B; backward sorts, £8 to fl2; farm implements and sundries sold at ordinary rates. Oil 13th inst., at Bell Block, I conducted a dispersal sale of pedigree Jersey cattle on acocunt qf Messrs J. H. Street and S. W. Shaw and G. A. Hadler. Buyers were in attendance from all parts of the Dominion, quite a number of cattle are leaving the district. Mr Street left nothing to be desired in the way of catering for all those present, this alone being deserving of the very successful sale he had, Mr Street's cows made 18 to 135 gns; 3-year-old heifers, 105 gns; 2-year-old heifers, 45 to 85 gns; 20-month heifers, 28 to 55 gns; yearling heifers, 22 to 30 gns; heifer calves, 16 to 50 gns; 2-year-old bull, 50 gns; yearling bulls, 15 to 45 gns. Mr Shaw's cows made 15 to 85 gns; 2-year-old heifer, 48 gns; heifer calf 31 gns; bull calves, 15 to 30 gns. Mr Hadler's cows made 60 gns; 2-year-old heifer, 46 gns. FARMERS' CO-OP ORGANISATION SOCIETY'S REPORT. On Monday we held our usunl sale at Opunnke, when lliere was an average yarding of stock. On Thursday, ot Manaia, we held a clearing Sale on account of" Mr. Donald Ttobertson, Malinia. There was a fair attendance of buyers, when the cows sold as follows: Best sorts £in to £22, others £ll to £l4.
At Auroa, on Friday, there was a good yarding of cattle, which sold at late '•atcs. On the same day wo held a clearing sale on account of Mr. Edward Long. Manaia. The grade cows, whlfch were n rery fine lot, averaged over E2O per head, whilst the heifers averaged £l3 Cs Od.
At. Ararata, on the same day, we sold, on belinlf of Mr. T. A. WlnVs. his two dairy herds and springing heifers. Bidding was very spirited throughout The 100 cows averaged £IS, whilst the 70 heifers averaged £lO 5s 6d. Sows £lO to £l3 Ra, store pigs £2 to £9 2s, horses £3 10s to £lB 10s. On Thursdny we held a clearing sale on recount of Mr. H. Thrush, Mangatokl, when there was a fair attendance of buyers.
