THE COAL INDUSTRY.
MINERS FROM AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. 1 In response to the Government's invi* tation to the Australian miners to coma to New Zealand, it is understood that 100 coal miners and 70 gold miners have offered to come here. Fifty coal miners will come in the Moer&ki, along with 200 stranded New Zealanders. It is not in-i tended that the gold miners «l»«n be brought over yet, owing to the influx enza restrictions and the necessity for repatriating the New Zealanders. New coal regulations have been brought into force in Wellington. • Under the new scheme dealers, before supplying orders, have to secure permits from the Coal Committee. If the committee «"/»■ orders to several dealers have been made in the name and address of the same person some of those orders will be disallowed. -
