The Itarawa arrived from the north as usual yesterday morning, and sailed again for Onehunga after the arrival of the mail train last night. THE KARU. The Karu arrived from Wellington via Wanganul at 9.30 yesterday morning. She landed 70 tons of cargo, and sailed In the evening for Tarakohe and Lyttelton. TTABAMTSA BRINGS BASIC SLAG. The Shaw Savlll and Albion liner Karamea is scheduled to leave London some time this month for Auckland, Wellington and New Plymouth. For this port the vessel has a quantity ot basic slag from Mlddlesborough, consigned to Mr. Newton King, and will probably commence loading frozen produce here. The Karamea will probably arrive here in August. , THE WHAKATANE.

The New Zealand Shipping Company's Whakatane, which has been advised to arrive here from Port Chalmers via ports on Friday, may possibly not reach this port by then, though no definite advice has yet been received by the agents. \VAIMANA FROM LONDON.
