NEW BY-LAW. is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of tile Council of thj County of Taranaki held on tlve second day of June, 191(1, it wag resolved (by way of Special Order) that tho said Council in pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in "Th*e Counties Act 1908" "The Counties Amendment Act 1910" and of an Order-in-Couneil made by His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand on the lota day of November 1915 wider Section 5 of "The Counties Amendment Act 1015" and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 18th Novembei 1915 at page 3825 and of all and every other the powers and provisions in thct behalf contained or implied in any statute enabling it in that behalf, make a By-law to b; called "The Taranaki County Vehicles Licensing By-law 1919" the object and purport of which By-law arc as follows:

To provide, for the licensing of vehicles using any ran-! within the County of Taranaki and to prevent unlicensed vehicles using .any o£ the said County roads, and to appoint the several sums to be paid to the. County fund for the licensing of vehicles. The said resolution will he submitted to the ordinary meeting of thf> Council to be held at the County OfEca in Kobe Street in the Town of New Plymouth on MONDAY, the seventh day of July 101.9 at two o'clock in tlie afternoon, at which meeting the date of the coming into force of the Said By-law will_.be fixed. A copy of the suid Special Order and of the proposed By-law are deposited at the office of the Council, where tlie same will be open for public inspection during office hours until the said confirming meeting is held.
