WEDDING.

CURTIS—BUCKTHOUGHT.

A very pretty wedding took place at St. Andrew's Church, Inglewood, on j.uesday, June 10, when Herbert Halvor Curtis, eldest son of the late Mr, Herbert Curtis, was married to Miss Elsie Margarate Buckthought, Durham Road, Inglewood. The Rev. Stanton officiated. The bride was given away by her father, Mr. W. H. Buckthought. She looked charming and pretty in a gown of wliitc crepe-de-chine with georgette panel effect hand embroidered, with smart little coat finished with satin snsh and silk tassels. Her long embroidered veil was fastened with a band of silk and orange blossom, and she carried a beautiful bouquet of white chrysanthemums, roses, carnaand maiden-hair fern, from Mrs. J. Wheeler, Vogeltown. The bridesmaids were Miss Ethel Buckthought, sister to the bride, Marjorie Dixon, niece of the bridegroom, who wore frocks of Japanese silk with coats of shadow lace and voilet silk sashes, white velvet huts, wreathed with violets and violet streamers.

Mr, H. Stratford was best man and ml ailc ' s Buckthought groomsman. The bride s .travelling dress/ was nigger urown gabardine with wliitc furs, the gift of the bridegroom, and white velvet hat with nigger brown ospreys and goicr trimming. The bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaids wer© gold wislibone brooches with shamrock spray, set with pearls! Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Buckthought received their guests at the Town Hall, where the wedding breakfast was partaken of.' The wedding presents were numerous and handsome including many substantial cheques. The happy couple left by motor, amid showers of confetti and good wishes en route .for Auckland, where the honeymoon is being spent.
