DARING BURGLARY.

TEE HAUL SMALL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Juno 12. Two daring burglaries were perpetrated here last night, the places broken into being the Britannia Buildings and the Westport Coal Company's wholesale department. The haul was small, being less than £lO in cash from the office of the Cycle and Motor Supplies, Ltd., owners of the Britannia Buildings. The safe was opened, but a sum of about £2O and a number of war bonds and gold watch and chain, valued at £6O, were overlooked. Several upstairs offices occupied by different tenants were entered, the damage to the doors, locks, and desks being estimated at £SO. At the Westport Coal Company's premises a drill was applied to the safe, but proved inefficient. Little of value was obtained. The entrance to both premises was made by the windows.
