SUPREME COURT.

CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, June 10. Sergt. Edward G. F. Marsden appeared in the Police CouTt on remand charged with the manslaughter of Sergt.-Major Choate on the transport Pa-keha. The polioe asked for a further adjournment, as the medical evidence as to the cause of death waß not available. They had telegraphed to Dunediii re the appearance of Surgeon-Captain Gordon, but that witness bad not arrived. The Crown Solicitor had advised that it would not be proper to close the case until the medical evidence was heard.

A remand for a week was granted, but the case will be gone an with if the medical evidence is available before that time.
