At the WestOand County Councils meeting to-day the position regarding the enforcement of the forestry legislation in West-land was strongly traversed by the chairman's report, which pointed out the impending injury to the district by limiting the progress of settlement and the loss of revenue to the local body, as well as crippling industrial development. The members discussed the matters at considerable length. The council resolved to invite Sir Francis Bell to visit the district and discuss matters with the local bodies and people interested.
