AIR RAID SECRETS.
MANY STATE BUILDINGS DAMAGED. London, March 17'. More secrets of the air raids on London were disclosed in the fire brigade reports published on Saturday. Thirteen bombs were dropped on the R.A. barracks and the grand depot barracks, Woolwich, on October 13,1915, the parade ground being wrecked and the officers' quarters severely damaged, but only four persons were injured. The same night 14 buildings, including the chapel of the Honorable Society of Lincoln's Inn, were severely damaged, as also were the new extension and west front of the Law Courts, while the London and South Western Bank in the Minories was partly demolished. - The Queen Elizabeth Almshouses and chapel at Greenwich were severely damaged on August 25, 1910, and also the A.S.C. depots at Greenwich and Plumstead.
In the daylight raid of Wednesday, Juno 13, 1917, when 14S people were killed and 228 injured, tho 304 sets of buildings damaged included the Minories branch of the London and South Western Bank (the second time) and tho Mint, where four workers were killed and 30 injured. In the famous Saturdav morning raid (July 7, 1917) the 903 buildings damaged included the Central Telegraph Office, St. Martin's-le-Grand, the operating rooms being demolished and a military sentry lulled. J J Among -105 buildings damaged on September 4 were Charing Cross Hospital; the War Department building at Woolwich Common; the Office of Works, Regent's Park; Ministry of Munitions, Embankment Gardens; and the Hotel Cecil. In tho same raid 270 feet of the Embankment wall and pavement, three Statues, and four electric light columns were demolished on the Victoria Embankment, a tramway car boh™ wrecked at tho same time.
SCOTLAND YARD HIT. Tliree weeks later the Royal Academy I and other Piccadilly buildings, and the Westminster Abbey Choir-house suffered. Four days later Scotland Yard, as well B9 the Cray's Inn Road and the Beihani Police station were hit, and considerable •damage was done at .Putney. Tbe next night the Horse Ouards' Parade, St. ' Paneraa Infirmary, N., the Middle 'Temple, tbe Office of Warka buildings in St. James' Park, and hospitals at Putney, Wandsworth, and Shatters' Hill were' damaged. On November 1, 1917, the searchlight' station of the R.N.V.R, (anti-aircraft corps) in Deptford Park was put out of action, and on December 6. Somerset House, the War Office, Scotland Yard, the i Office of Worka in the Mall were hit.
