Notification has been received by the Director of Technical Education in Variinaki that the following candidates were successful in Grade I of the City and Guilds of London Institute examinations in the New Plymouth centra:—Motorcar engineering: Thomas K. Debney, Farley, J. Hunt, John H. Johnson, Arthur E. Lovegrove, Kenneth Rawlinson, W. H. S. Taylor, Erie B. Tucker and F. H. K. Watts. Word was also received by tha director that W.
