NOW MORE THAN EVER. By Telegraph.—Press Asan.—Copyright. Received June 11, 720 p.m. London, June 3. Sir Joseph Broodbank. presiding at the Cold Storage Association's dinner, said thero were now 1 250 Britkh ships with refrigerating accommodation amounting to 60,000,000 cubic feet. The number of ships and capacity were greater than evor, despite the submarine ravages. Mr. Roberts, Food Controller, mentioned that since January, 1918, there had never been less than 82,000,000 tons of produce stored in the United Kingdom, half of which was meat. The war had revealed our greatest weakness, which had been dependence on outside sources. We should ascertain whwther by arrangement with the Dominions we can overcome this menace.—Reuter.
