THE "TARANAKIAN."

H r e have to acknowledge receipt of a copy of the current issue of the New Plymouth Boys' High School Magazine, the "Taranakian." The number possesses all the usual features of this now well-known and much appreciated journal. Quite naturally a good deal of space is given up to accounts of the various functions held in connection with the official opening of the new school building. In the section given up to the Old Boys, which is always a valuable part of the school journal, there is a good account of the re-union of the association held at the time of the opening ceremonies. »The Old Boys' Notes are, as usual, an interesting record of the whereabouts and occupations of erstwhile students of the -school, while the roll of honor is printed in as complete a form as is at present possible. Accounts of tho' school sport® have ibeen faithfully recorded, and all tho many and varied activities of the school life receive their medo of notice. The illustrations include fine half-tone prints of the front view of the new building, the main entrance porchway, and interior views of the assembly hall, the chemical and physics laboratories, and the school first cricket eleven. Altogether the number provides a worthy successor to its predecessors of the past seven vears.
