THE NAVAL POSITION.
AGREEMENT BETWEEN AMERICA AND ENGLAND.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Received June 10, 5.5 p.m. New York, June 1. The New York Times' Paris correspondent states that Mr. Dasiiels' announcement that the United States Government had abandoned its naval building programme created surprise among the American peace delegation. It is inferred in well informed circles that the United States and Britain have reached an agreement regarding the size of the respective navies.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
