TARANAKI WINTER SHOW.
OPENS TO-DAY, Indications point to the Tenth Annual Winter Show under the auspioes of the Taranaki Agricultural Society, opening to-day in the Coronation Hall, being the most successful yet held in the history or the society. The enthusiasm din* played by the committee and officials has been responsible for spleadid entries being received in the various sections) and, given fine weather so as to permit of residents of the surrounding districts travelling in to New Plymouth in comfort, there should be record attendances. Each year the people of the district are realising more and more the fact thftt it is their own show, and/accordingly, are backing the efforts of the committee. Complete arrangements have been made for the success of the show and the comfort of patrons. The catering is in the hands of the ladies' committee, which is a sufficient guarantee that this department will be complete, and the Citizens' Band has been engaged to play each evening. The Show will be opened this afternoon at 2.3o'by Mr. C. H. Bifrgess, Mayor of New Plymouth, and, wtll remain open ea«h day and evening until the end of the week.
