Several correspondents describe the effort as a fiasco. Separatist movements are afoot in Hanover and Bavaria. The German Government has issued an order for the arrest of the President of the Rhine Republic.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. STRIKE SUPPRESSED BY AMERICAN TROOPS. Coblenz, June 3. A' general strike was ordered in the American area j>f occupation, witli the object of protesting against the Rheinish Republic. The American military suppressed the strike 5n a few hours.
