TAHORA RIFLE CLUB. The second contest for the Loan and Mercantile trophy by members of the Tahora Rifle Club was marked by very good shooting. Tho details are as follows:

A. rifle-shooting competition was held at Patea yesterday, entries being very and the shooting generally of a high standard. The belt was won by Mr. Palmer, of Patea, Messrs Harrison (Hawera) and Smith (Waneanul) tying for second place.
