FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Information was received this afternoon of a fatal motor uceident ut Hillgrove by which Mrs. J. Mahoney, wife of a farmer at Enfield, was killed. It appears that a party of four were on their way to Dunedin in a ear owned and driven by John Mahoney, the others being Mrs. Mahoney, Miss Mahoney, and Duncan Cameron. At a sharp corner on the Kartigi Road the car met a dray, and, in order to avoid a collision, the car turned into a bank and capsized. Mrs. Mahoney was thrown out violently and killed instantaneously. Miss Mahoney had her jawbone broken, besides injuries to her hip. Cameron received slight injuries, and Mahoney escaped unscathed. Mrs. Mahoney was aged 81. A CHILD RUN OVER. - Napier, Last Night. Another motor accident occurred today. Jack Fox, aged four years, son of Conductor Fox of the City Band, was run over by a motor car on Marine Parade. His thigh and tkull were fractured, and he is in hospital in a serious state. : FATAL MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT. Chrittchurch, .Tune 2. A motor car accident yesterday at Waikari resulted in the death of a child aged three named Hepzibah Kennedy. No : details are available, except that the deceased was one of a party iu a car driven by her father, and was killed by the car overturning. ONE MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED. A collision occurred near the top of Standish Hill on Sunday morning between a motor car driven by Mr. Reube, of Westown, and a motor cycle ridden by Mr. Eric Shaw, of Okato. The car was being driven into town and the evclist was going in the opposite direction. Mr. Shaw received serious injuries to his head and wa9 taken to the hospital. Another man who was on the motor cycle with Shaw at the time escaped with practically no injury.
