A BODY RECOVERED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The body found on the beach this morning is supposed to be that of William James Hickey, lost in the Buller some five weeks back. MAORI SOLDIER'S DEATH. Napier, Last Night. The adjourned inquest was held to-day on Hiko Auaru, a Maori returned soldier found injured in the Caledonian Hotel on Saturday week, and who died in hospital later. The verdict was that death wasj due to fracture of the base of the skull caused by a fall while intoxicated. RAILWAY GAUGER INJURED. Christchurch, June 2. A man named James Cullen, employed by the Railway Department, was admitted to hospital yesterday suffering from severe injuries to his headi Cullerf; who resides at Little River, was returning from work on Saturday evening on a ganger's trolley when a train overtook him ahd dashed into the trolley. He regained consciousness this morning.
